FINISTERRE

I love this place.  The Romans called it the end of the world since they arrived and could see only ocean all around.  It's a buzzing port with lots of fishing activity and a fish auction in the main sales hall daily.  There are also loads of shore fishing men including young lads and they seem to fish from early morning until VERY late at night.  When I'm going to bed around 1 a.m. there they are still and first thing in the morning they look as if they've been there all night.
The light house is famous - because of the winds it's actually in a square building and is reputedly one of the oldest lighthouses in Europe.
the boats have arrived

This is the end of the road for the Camino so many pilgrims come here from Santiago de Compostela and tradition says that they should burn their clothes here.  There are large numbers staying around in the Albergos.

Sunset
